If you cannot attend the auction in person you can leave absentee or commission bids by fax, telephone and online.
Absentee Bidding by fax and telephone
The Absentee Bidding form can be downloaded here or picked up during the viewing. This can be faxed or left with reception before 9am on day of sale. This form enables you to either leave a maximum bid or participate in the sale by telephone. Absentee bids are executed by the auctioneer on your behalf. If you indicate you wish to phone bid, our staff will call you shortly before your lot is due to be sold.

PLEASE NOTE:
• Lawsons offers this service as a convenience to our clients who are unable to attend the auction. Lawsons will not be held responsible for error or failure to execute bids.
• Lots will be bought as reasonably as is allowed by reserves and other bids, if any, and in accordance with the terms and conditions of auction sale.
• A buyers’ premium will be added to the hammer price of all lots purchased.
• All goods must be paid for by 12 noon Monday.
• Phone after 4pm Friday to check if your bids were successful or leave your email address and your invoice will be sent to you at the end of the sale.
• Storage fees of $5 per lot per day will be charged after 12 noon Monday.
• Minimum Absentee Bid $20.
• Phone bids by prior arrangement. Minimum telephone bid $200.
• Bids must be submitted before 9am Friday.
Online Bidding
A service where you can register online and leave bids and track them at your convenience at any time up until half an hour before the auction. We will also notify you after the sale by email if you have been successful.
To get started you must register - provide your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address. Registering is free and will enable you to receive updates and to create your own wish list using the lot alert feature.
Next you will Sign In by entering your customer number and personal pin (for existing users) or by entering your email and password if you are a new user.
Bidding
Once you have signed in, you can place bids with Lawsons bidding system through our online catalogues. These can be found on the homepage in the menu bar located on the right or in the "Auctions" drop down menu. Catalogues are updated on a weekly basis and are available for viewing from Thursday noon prior to the auction. Specialist sales catalogues will generally have a longer viewing time.
Lawsons will notify you by email following the auction to advise whether you have been successful.
